Welcome to the new Website!
Ain’t it all purty and stuff? Thanks very much to the amazing Travis Pennington for the great job he did. And now, let’s get this sucker rolling with my first blog post in a very long time.Let’s start with some Good News, Bad News, shall we? The Good News is that Book Six of the Bloodhound Files, UNDEAD TO THE WORLD, is finished. The Bad News is, it looks like this is the final installment of TBF for the foreseeable future. Boo, I know.
But wait—there’s more Good News! I’ve just sold a brand-new series to St. Martin’s Press, and I’m hard at work on the first book. The series is called the WHISKY, TANGO AND FOXTROT MYSTERIES, and involves a team of paranormal sleuths that solve locked-room type mysteries. There’ll be lots of humor and the kind of banter you got in THE BLOODHOUND FILES, plus an interesting (and unique) take on the afterlife. Uh, afterlives.
Also, there will be monkeys.
Not just monkeys, either—all sorts of animals. You see, Whisky is the ghost of a dog, and Tango is a cat working on her seventh life. Foxtrot is the one who actually has to solve the crimes, but having a cat who speaks over three hundred animal languages (Okay, most of them are feline dialects) and a dog made of ectoplasm with access to a supernatural database of scents gives her some handy tools to work with. Too bad her day job is being the Gal Friday to an eccentric billionaire with a sprawling estate and a habit of inviting the most unusual people to stay with her.
And then there’s the pet graveyard next door . . .
No info yet on pub date for the first one, but I’ll keep you posted. Promise.
Sad to hear about the end of the Bloodhound Files. On the bright side, the series is very re-readable and Dying Bites turned out well on audio. Thank goodness Tantor has committed to the entire series.
Don’t stop blogging. Really. I want to read the Whisky-Tango-Foxtrot series. (You did this on purpose so we can’t abbreviate, didn’t you?)
I’ll be checking back for news in the future.
I promise I’ll be blogging on a more regular basis, though some of those posts will be up at collaborativecomics.com. Drop on by and leave a comment!
I’m so sad TBF is ending! I just bought Undead to the World, so I’ll have to savor it. Looking forward to the new series though. The initials WTF give me huge kick.
Don’t forget that it’s under my pseudonym, Dixie Lyle.
So, I just finished the awesome, confusing joyride that is TBF #6 in one sitting, and visited your website for hints of #7 to be shattered by the news that it will not happen. Now Jace is not the only one sulking… actually, it is more of a full blown, lay on the floor, kicking and screaming temper tantrum.
Very much boo. I agree with Dr.Susan, I was also shattered to find that the ending was all that #6 ended with. What happens next? Nothing is clear… except that I will remain shattered about this series for some time to come. Write more (notice the lack of exclamtion point, I wish not to deafen you) Support our addiction to this world… please…
Hi!
I got to know this series about three weeks ago and managed to finish all six books to realise it was a cliffhanger and no release for the foreseeable future was all there is.
I couldn’t stop thinking what option Jace would make. If that’s the end of the bloodhounds… Could I know what’s the likely choice???
Thanks!!!
If you want to know more about what Jace will decide, check out my new webcomic project at collaborativecomics.com.
Where are you? I really loved the Jace series and I am looking forward to the new series. You really need to update this website and not just Facebook for all of the fans that search for you!
Sorry about that. I’m trying to do better, I really am. You can also find me at collaborativecomics.com, talking about my new webcomic project, CROSSOVER.
NOOOOOOO!!!!! I just discovered that there will be no more books in the Bloodhound Files!!!! WHY?!?!?!?! I read them all at the beginning of this year, and LOVED them!
Stay tuned, I’m planning on doing more with Jace and company.
It’s been a bit, any good news on Jace and Co.? 🙂
Helo. I have a LOT of questions. Well, maybe not that ‘a lot’. Just a few, actually and I would really love it if you answer them. It’s about TBF. First, where is Jace going? Her world or the other one? Is she still an item with Casius or what? I mean ‘who’. Sorry for asking but I just don’t really get it in the end.
Now, after all these time, my head is still asking and wondering about those question. Thanks! I really love your book by the way.
My new webcomic project, CROSSOVER, will have a certain snarky ex-FBI agent guest-starring, and certain questions will be answered. Find out more at collaborativecomics.com–and if you want more of my stuff, check out the WHISKY, TANGO AND FOXTROT MYSTERIES, written under the name Dixie Lyle. First booK, A TASTE FUR MURDER is out and the second one, TO DIE FUR, is about to drop.
Since there is no more bloodhound files can you clear one thing up where did she decide to go? Back home or home with David and Charlie?
